Center lock Wheels nicks inside barrel

Hey Guys

Noticed on 2 of my front wheels small nicks inside the wheel barrel. I'm not sure if these were caused by rock chips or what could have caused it. I know my detailer uses a Towel and ONR and he had a ring on. Not sure if he caused it. They look like rock chips.

Could very well be rock chips. I've seen little pebbles on the barrels of mine after driving some time.

I've had many aftermarket wheels over the years, and have also had many cosmetic damages and blemishes over the years. Just find a good wheel repair shop near you and have it touched up.

Generally, wearing a ring would scratch not chip. It's likely from a rock or could even be from certain type of machine if you had new tires mounted on those wheels

Kind of hard to tell what it is. From looking at it appears to be by a rock. had to be from a pretty strong impact.

I've had (I think) the same issue with a lot of wheels over various cars - small pebbles bounce around the wheel well / barrel area and chip the barrel. The really bad ones can happen as the pebble catches between the outside of the caliper and the barrel.
