They will be for track use only, I'm getting ET Streets for them and will want to save the tire for the track. Will be interesting to see what kind of 60' I can get out of this.

Good plan. Hoping for low 1.4s!

Looks perfect! Thanks for being the first to try out orange wheels. Way to lean in

Is Mickey Thompson calling their Drag Radials "ET Streets"? ET Streets used to be bias ply tires with a couple grooves (to get DOT approval). They'd be 26x10.5 for instance. If so, Im happy they make them in 19". Been through a lot of ET Streets and ET Drags.

Orange was on sale. Can't imagine why... though they have been sitting in my living room (for no particular reason other than too lazy to move them to the garage) and they are growing on me.

I was a bit thrown by the nomenclature as well. I had "ET Streets" on my big block Camaro a longgggg time ago and they were what you described (not really a street tire at all). Below is what I'll be trying on the pcar.

On a side note, I'm headed to my first PCA meeting in a minute. It appears it is going to rain, I wonder if that means I'll be the only one there.

BOOM. Probably. Damn Porsche owners. At least here in Portland, most realize that avoiding rain is impossible. Yet I bet they'd all drive spare Subarus to the PCA meeting.

Was thinking of trying one of these "Arrive and Drive" PCA things myself.

Re: The ET Streets, that's crazy. Obviously you remember the same tires I do. Like driving on a mattress on the big end of the track... kind of nerve racking. It sounds like ET Streets are now drag radials? Probably a good thing And I see your BB Camaro and raise you... Mine were on a Trans Am.

ET streets are pretty amazing. I picked up OZ's in 18's with MT ET streets on my 997.2 TTS and my first attempt at the drag strip it snapped my rear axle. The 19's don't have as much side-wall and so it won't hook up as well but then will probably spare you from my fate of a snapped axle.

I guess it forced you to get an upgraded axle? How did it feel once you had a better rear end? Curious as I'm debating on the 991...

Hmm... You might say I had a thing for f-bods... the TA was my first car, and I still have it.

Well then I guess it is a blessing in disguise that I can't live out my dream of having an 18" HRE square drag setup...

Nah I actually don't like 1/4 mile drag racing. Only went because my friends would drag me along. I kept getting 10.2 on street tires with terrible 60 foot times and someone said I had the mph for 9's so I should give it a try. So I picked up the OZ/MTs and first pass pulled a wheelie but snapped an axle. Fixed it for $500 with another stock axle.

I briefly thought about upgraded axles but they aren't needed unless u launch on slicks or DR's which I don't plan to do ever again. Besides if I break something I much prefer busting an axle and not the PDK.

Lightly used OZ / MT Centerlock 18's are now for sale lol.

Gold looks nice on the white. I thought orange was the worst color imaginable and planned to powdercoat them, but since they'll only be on the car a few hours at time, who really cares. The tools I need to buy for the center locks will probably cost me more than the wheels :/

What kind of 60' have you been getting? Maybe it has been posted before, but probably easier just to ask you than to internet stalk you.
