911 Turbo S Rear Badge
911 Turbo S Rear Badge
I got my TTS Cab as a CPO and the original owner wanted to only have the rear deck say "PORSCHE" vs Porsche on top and 911 Turbo S below. For a couple of reasons I want my car rear deck to show Porsche on top and 911 Turbo S below. Lets just say its for the children
I think it important for a girl, I mean kid to know that the car he or she one day aspires to, denotes just what it is.
Anyways, the problem is that when Porsche built the car and put "PORSCHE" on the rear deck, is that they centered the word/letters/badge, etc right in the middle of the bumper. So, to keep with factory look I can simply get the 911 Turbo S badge and place below current Porsche designation location, but then it is not centered like from the factory. A potential risk removing Porsche and causing paint damage? Only then to line up everything correct.
Thanks for listening to my rant

if you want to do all the letters, do it. take them all off with dental floss and clean up the adhesive. nothing to it.
then go to a dealer that has the stencil for the letters and let them put them all on the back for you. I had to have my bumper touched up and took off all the letters. i made my own stencil for the "911 Turbo S" i didn't put the porsche letters back on. If you want them all to be perfect you need to find a dealer that has the stencil to line up the letters. the PORSCHE is a PITA. I bought the letters from sun coast. I think the PORSCHE was $65 or so, the 911 was $60 or so, the S $40 and the turbo was $140.

For some reason it made me laugh that the S is $40. I must be bored at work to be thinking about this.
I have the "S" & "911" (chrome) from my '13 C2S "911 Carrera S" lettering I removed...free.

If you just want to put on the "911 turbo S" on the back I can send you my homemade templet to borrow. It lines up the spacing perfectly, you just have to get it to the height you want and center it over the license plate. All of the letters and numbers are separate and they are a PITA to get the spacing right. Or you can just go to the dealer that has the template.
I'm really liking the color on the C2S, what is it?

Have you considered Plasti-dip? I've done it to emblems on many cars. I personally hate chrome on almost anything. Its not perfect, but its definitely not permanent either. And it's like $8 for blue tape (why is that stuff so expensive???), $20 for the plasti-dip, and $.10 for the toothpicks.

I agree with the dislike of chrome. I used Plasti-dip on everything on my old car and it held up well (and it was my daily driver). I haven't done it to the pcar because I am going for a stock look for now. I would like it to run 9's while looking completely normal. But after the novelty of that fades, I'll probably Plasti-dip the badges and get black wheels again. Sometimes when you do all that you run the risk of looking like a Bat-mobile or a teenager though.
