Thanks. I lost one race that day -- to a Weistec turbo upgrade, cooling upgrade, ice trunk tank CLS63 using nitrous. My ET was .7 seconds faster but he caught me sleeping at the line by a second.

Looks like it short shifted a few times or did it come out of launch control due to traction?

Car Was always launched on launch control but the car pretty much always short shifts shortly after coming off the line on launch control.

 

It seems like all the TTS's start to go into protective mode once we hit a certain hp. The cars should be much quicker without it short shifting. On the 9.71 run, I was in 3rd before I passed the tree at the track.
On one of your runs, it looked like the car came out of launch due to traction. Not sure but that's what it looked like.

My impression is they all seem to short shift off of a launch control -- at least the tuned ones. traction was not great as it was very cold outside in the 30s maybe or low 40s during the March event in the video

In one of my launches I made the mistake of taking off the traction control and that definitely cause the car to hiccup because there wasn't enough traction. In all the other launches I had it on because it really wasn't warm enough to hook.

I have learned in general that when there's no traction you're better off launching with launch control and traction control on. It only helps to turn TC off if there's enough traction to hook which only happens in my car when it is warm and the track is well prepped with VHT
