Well, If you are in the DFW area and all you got is a GTR, better not race this car
So all the baselss talk continues but here is data and no one comments on it. Anyone else with an AP care to post a log that is better than this?
I see so many people who have bought AP and no one logs and posts the data. Seems to me that would be the most common basis for comparison but everyone is still stuck on slips that can easily be photoshopped. This is real, raw data from the car. Kind of hard to fake it. I mean maybe you could go into the excel file and mess with the numbers but I suspect it would look wrong.
Come on all you doubters, post your own plots. This isn't really hard to do if you have even a basic knowledge of excel.

It's better than my car by .4s Adam and I have more mods. I have posted my stuff, you can see my best stuff from COTA was around 7.5s. I have been posting AP logs for a while. I am no longer willing to accept timeslips given they are subject to being doctored. Stuff needs to be backed up with Vbox and AP if you have it.

. He might not want to call out every GTR seeing as it's only the bolt-on GTRs the 991 Turbo can beat.
The boasting was 10.0 in the 1/4 on stock rubber and pump gas. I know Sam put some time in tunning this car if I had to guess I would say I'm sure it runs really strong. The fastest time I've seen on P-zeros is in the low 10.30's and that was with race fuel. So maybe he could cut a 10.30 on stock rubber, pump fuel with his limited mods if all the planets lined up. Which is really quick but it's quite always from 10.0 but we don't even know What it runs as we've never seen a real slip, I don't think it's ever seen the track. The AP is cool and the Vbox is cool but, in order to say you can run a certain E.T then it needs to be done on a track, NHRA doesn't care about anything else besides the et on a track period. Ya feel Homie ( I had to do it )

I really think the biggest weakness with my car is that it is a 9/13 build and probably one of the first built. They just didn't have everything down when they produced the parts.

I thought when he first posted he said it was a personal goal, not a boast. I told him not to expect it on Pzeros and he wasn't even going to try without PSS but now he thinks maybe it's doable that on PZeros but only because of his car.
Everyone's reality is biased by their own personal experience. Hence I didn't think he could do it based on mine. Now his car was so strong, he thought he could and we talked past each other not considering our cars could be that different. This has been occurring to me since everyone ran those 10.3's at ATCO and my car couldn't ever crack 10.5 no matter what. My car is strong up top and that is most important at COTA which is what I do most with it anyway. So I am OK with the way mine is performing out there. I am even a little scared of it now and wonder what it will be like with the upgraded turbos on the road course. I will find out Dec 18. In the meantime I am still hunting down that F car.

So I think we are looking at 10.3 or less but on the street. Still I told him on the phone I thought he would have a hard time backing up 9.99 on that setup at the strip. There is an event he could go to Sunday but it's one of those deals where you will only get to run once every two hours or so. If he really focuses maybe he can cut a 10.0x. I honestly think that is all he wanted to do to begin with.

It's the PDK, not the tune. Those two plots are using the same map other than an adjustment for octane level. If there is any other difference then maybe Sam can tell us.
Hey guys. Sorry William I'm having a hard time keeping track of all these threads. Regarding the tune and octane it really makes a huge difference on these cars. I did push that car pretty hard which is one of the reasons it logs so strong. It's not something I would want someone running the road course with. I definitely think your car is getting hurt in the tires department and your PDK is a little more pissy than some of the others. There is a solution coming for that as well! In addition to hardware. I've done hundreds by now and they're all a little different. Your car is absolutely making big power William. If we don't do anything else and do the turbochargers/tuning you're going to pick up six or 7 mph. Then we can see what that does in the first eighth and second eighth mile. If your ET doesn't go down or possibly even gets worse he points the finger even more. But there's a lot we have not done. Greg can tell you we worked at it a lot until we got his car running 10.1 at 141 consistently with bad conditions. It's a nine second car for sure.
Sorry I don't know if I answered the question let me know.

ANother run from last night
He had slippage from loss of traction on the road between 1st and 2nd gear. Still ran 6.97s 60-130 and low 10 1/4. Still using some race gas too but conditions were really ideal, look at the IAT. The car is fast. The **** talk should really stop but go ahead, keep it up. It just is going to look stupid as **** when he really does get to run it in a decent environment.
Why would anyone need to fake a slip with a car this fast? Ask yourselves that. This car would have easily done 6.5s 60-130 from a dig if it hadn't lost grip between first and second gear. Oh well, haters gonna hate.

William is a data guy and also just a nice person. He has done a lot and seen a lot. I don't fault him for just being nice and stating facts. I am pretty sure he still agrees with us all that the slip part is a definite cluster Fxxk no one fully understands.
