Sound difference: Sharkwerks vs Europipe
Sound difference: Sharkwerks vs Europipe
Hey guys,
I'm currently running Sharkwerks exhaust on my 991.1 TTS and while it is good value and sounds muscular at low rpm, there is a bit of drone. From what I read on the forum so far I am leaning towards Europipe...
Can someone please chime in and offer your views if you heard both exhaust in person on the differences in sound?
Thanks,

We don't have official distributors, I'm sorry. Feel free to contact me for more info.

Stef, everything went very well and I did it all by myself. Not bad at all and completely happy with the sound, which is much better than straight pipe exhaust. In my case, this was with Sharkwerks. It sounds deeper, fuller and no high pitch sound at a low RPM, which I like. In one words, Europipe sound is "RICHER" feel. The other on is noisy and cheaper sound for me.
Oh I wanted to tell you that the package and materials inside of the box is "BEAUTY" Absolutely, high end package. I love this and I see you guys take everything very seriously. Great!
Thanks . Dr. Edward S.
Hope this info helps.
Cheers, Stef
Thanks Scott!

Europipe is built so well the installer literally spent an hour admiring the welds and finish. It sounds perfect, you'll love it!
Thank you all for the positive feedback. Can I assume that the rear bumper cover needs to be removed to gain access for the factory removal and EUROPIPE installation? I remember doing a SHARKSWERK on my 2011 GT3 and such was necessary....not hard at all and I have a lift in my garage which helps immensely.
Here is a comparison. Please use speakers or headphones that have a rich (but not excessive) bass response. The Kline in particular that I chose is -slightly- louder than the Europipe (I've been in and measured cars now with both), but the difference is less than .2-.6 dB, mostly at lower rpm.
Headers (equal length) quiet the car at lower RPM by about the same margin and definitely make it sing much more loudly (2+ dB) on top under boost.
The sharwerks is an economical way to have a more aggressive sounding car. It gets a lot of flack, but it is not a bad decision if you never plan on a stage 2 tune. The reason a say this is that the car with Sharkwerks and 200-cell (or no) cats is just plain obnoxious and not something that befits the rest of the car (drone, volume, etc). If you plan on keeping the stock cats and only want to change the sound of the car, the SW isn't a bad deal (with a tiny slice of drone).
