I am super excited to get my car back, the shop is closed this week so hopefully I will have some news back next week, the car was fired up last week and PDK was reflashed. I forgot how loud it is especially on cold start up! and now with a little extra sinister sound to it.

Thunder, I did rods and 12mm head studs, cams, inconel valves and CNC ported heads.

 

What went down? any progress on this project?

It's getting exciting. I know we gave you a teaser and then I kept your car LOL. Prototype axles are here and the Stage 2 Dodson Motorsport upgrade is at LAX! I'll be putting everything together next week but I'm going to fire her up for you before we drop the engine/trans again just to hold you over and I'll post a video tomorrow!

 

I hope you did diverter valves. LOL!

 

Sam Glad the Axels are in one less thing to worry about, cant wait to hear her running again and go out and do some pulls.

Ive run the stock diverter valves the the whole time with no issues, when we pulled the engine out I figured might as well put in some forge units.

 

If you need some let me know, I keep them in stock.

I'm testing a few things on the 991 so mine's probably not going to be ready so the silver bullet will likely get the nod again.

 

Ive got it signed up so thats the plan for now.

The Camaro is running with the procharger and it really runs strong Ive got the outa the box tune in it now and its a tire fryer with t/c on or off. Ive still got to do headers, cat delete, plugs and 160 thermostat and custom tune, that will all happen in about two weeks which should be good for another 50ish whp. Oh ya I bought 17" Hoosiers for it also. Funny all that and it may run with a stock 991.1 on a good day from a roll

 

Cool. Looks like the event is pretty light (lower hp cars). You will probably get a lot more close races with the camaro. Looking at the list there isn't much signed up that can hang with a modded Turbo S from a dig.

 

Adam I have no doubt you will beat most of the cars out there, looks like the 1000hp gtr and 1000hp viper would be a good run.

I will be using this event to tune my car and better my trap speeds & see what kind of top speeds I can achieve in the 1/2 mile.

The Camaro will be fighting for traction, and yes it will have some good races Sunday there are only 70 or so cars should get in many runs.

 

I wish could go to this, but I'm going to be out of the country. I'd like to get real numbers for the .2.

 

I see one other 991.2 on the list idk who it is or if its modded I will find out what it runs, Plan B you can always drop the car off early and I will be more than happy to run it down the track for you!
