I was on a Porsche tour in Provence last month and learned a lot about the software development. Rather intense how they manage that and not surprised that tuners that don't have that level of expertise can't crack it. Porsche operates a network of engineers some at different entities in Germany that work on discrete packages and as they write code they track car at same time to review and refine. Operating system built up from that, which means that tuner wanting to modify anything has major work, not easy.
Car is a monster you have to drive a .2S to understand that and not interested in ecu but a PDK tune raising shift points to 6K would be fun.

I can only understand that the 991.2 chassis is a monster if I drive a .2S? Do you mean a Carrera S (.2S)?
I can understand your enthusiasm but I really don't think you have thought about what you said.
Anyway,
At least the 991.2 Turbo S has a tune from GIAC. I've been hearing for months now that the 991.2 Turbo (NON-S) tune is being tested right now! Will be done soon! etc. Just endless cheap words.
I also heard Cobb Is real close now (TM) to having OBD2 flashing for ages for this platform.
I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for a non-s turbo ecu flash appearing any time soon.

Hey guys, FVD has these tuning boxes out for all models of 991.2 including turbo. seems to sound similar to the protomotive tuning box. Does anyone have info on these? Evoms makes a box for the older 991, anyone have results vbox before and after?
