Impressive and Congrats!!

I was just testing my 997.2 TTS the other night (Very late and cold out. Cold street and OEM tire pressures. lot's of spin) with an OTS pump gas tune.
My stock car with only Europipe went 10.96@124 on a track in the summer, with a 1.55 60Ft.

The other night the DA was around +450 or so and with a slow 1.86 60ft. and spinning, it ran 10.77 @ 132.63 - ( 105+ in 1/8 ). On track that would be .2 - .3 quicker in the 1/4.
I'm looking forward to some custom tuning soon to go even better.
Amazing what these cars pick up with only some tuning & exhaust. Reminds me of the diesel world. Huge gains.

I just meant compared to the "tuners" of old. Gas burners would gain like 10-20 hp, but a diesel could legit gain 100+ hp from a simple tune (Smarty, Bullydog, etc.) back then.

Thanks man. Hopefully once the custom tuning happens, it'll get even better.

Thanks, Jodi.

I hope you’re well.

Miss my old daily driven CL65 barge that ran 10.2 @ 138.

Definitely a 9 sec pass possible with the 991.2 TTS and stock turbos.

Just found out from GIAC that my 991.2TTS only has the Stage 1+ tune on it...Allegedly what the black car in the vid has.

I inquired about upgrading to the Stage 2 Plus tune.

My question is, Some people are saying the Stage 2 tune Plust Tubi race exhaust is only good for about the 10.1 - 10.2 in the 1/4, So How did this car manage that on the Stage 1 plus tune?

Good news is, GIAC stated it wouldn't cost me any more $ from them to upgrade my car to Stage 2, except my local GIAC tuner may charge me an hour labor to upload / download the tune. If that's all they'll charge me, I think it'll be worth it to upgrade for sure to see how much of a gain it'll be.

I also have a question about GIAC and Do they have a Hand-held "Loader" to easily switch tunes??

I'll be upgrading to the Sgt. 2 plus tune but have to have my local GIAC dealer do it. Do they NOT sell a "Loader" so I can also get the 100 octane tune and switch back and forth??

Yes, there is a switcher available from GIAC to easily switch between Pump gas and Race gas programs.

Thank you,

I'll be looking into that on Thursday morning when I go upgrade to the Stg. 2 pump tune....Would like to get the Race Gas tune to try as well.

If it's cost affective anyway...

One last question. Why is there so little, if any, info on the Stage 2 pump 93 tune by GIAC on the web. Only for the 991.1 TT/TTS it seems.

Can you provide any real numbers / data on the 991.2TT / TTS pump gas Stage 2 tune?

Obviously the Race Gas tune runs awesome...We'll see about acquiring it as well.

I posted on another thread but I went ahead and upgraded to the new Stage 2 pump and race gas tune that the black car is running.

I did some Dragy testing and dropped about a full second on my 60-130 times from my original Stage 1 tune to the Race gas tune.

6.07 secs. 60-130 and on a botched cold tire spinning 1/4 pass made 140.1 MPH. Very impressive for just a tune / exhaust on a full weight car.

I'm not a small guy either, so race weight was right around 3850-3900 lbs.

You did 140+ on just a tune and exhaust on a full weight car ??!!?? Wow.

The GIAC tune has always been impressive. Basically a "set it an forget it" tune. The exact mix of power and reliability. No trade offs.

Remember GIAC was the very first flash tune on the 9A1 motor (997.2) and of course the first tune on the 991. So there is value in experience. GIAC and Champion had a bolt on 9A1 in the 9's in 2010....pretty much years before anyone else.
