From mild to wild! I don't know how they do it, but AWE the sounds! Love the safety factor as well. Like on a Harley, if you are in someones blind spot. In sport mode you can hear the purr and you know something stunning is running on your flank! If you a have a black theme going, the black diamond tips are stunning!

991 GTS with AWE Xpipe : Quick sound update from inside the cabin not even pushing too hard in Sport mode with sunroof open.
Enjoy and thanks all for your help
Hopefully I can make a longer nicer video in spring.

Very nice. Mine will be doing just that in a month. To much gravel on the road after winter here. Enjoy that sound!

Thank you. I am really enjoying it and so does my wife

The AWE fitted perfectly except for the black tips... I lost one on the highway. Thanks god nobody got injured so I put back the stock tips.

I have the black tips on my car. I would use some high temp silicone on the outlet pipe. Apply it from the opening about 1/4 inch, so nothing gets forced in the hole. Make a band like 2 inches wide with it. Than slide the tips on, aline, and torque them on! Josh at AWE will tell you torque specs. The black diamond tips rock. They also look a little more aggressive over the stock tip with the bigger diameter that fills the lower facia holes and the bigger outlet hole. IF you do this right and torque them right, they won't come off! Have fun (:

Hi Josh,

I have a question about the functionality of the non-PSE 991 Carrera S AWE Switchpath exhaust.

I am planning on buying the non-PSE AWE exhaust without tips (to retain my existing tips).

Based on the website and my own research, I am aware that the existing vacuum-enabled valves in my 991S will control the valve in the AWE exhaust. Here are my set of questions:

1) Does the valve stay open (akin to a PSE button engaged) when I engage either sport/sport+ button (I do have sport chrono)?
2) Can I still add the PSE button/control unit, with non-PSE AWE exhaust, and gain the control over the valve open/closed? (provided that I get the car re-programmed by a dealer to recognize that my car now has a PSE).
3) Assuming that the answers to the above are 'yes', the only functionality I will be gaining by adding a PSE button would be that I will be able to drive in sport/sport+ while the valves are closed, am I correct?

Best,

Brandon

great product - easy install

I installed my SwitchPath a couple of weeks ago (and posted a DIY thread on Rennlist).

I cannot praise the resulting sound too much. great product, and I got a great deal from TAG Motorsport on it.

its a must have IMO

any particular HT silicone you recommend, I had a little trouble with one of the
OEM pipes getting the tip attached (I think the OEM pipe is out of spec)?
