Jan delivery

FWIW, dealer is telling me November build slot for Jan delivery (991S). This is earlier than previously told, which was Spring. Looking forward to it. The only thing sweeter would be if a GT3, but something else to look forward to I guess. Some comments ...

- Not loving the sunroof. I like having one but on the 991 it just looks wrong when open. I can see people honking at me telling me to pull over because my roof is falling off.

- 5k for the Burmester sound option. Wondering if it's really worth it -- it's a lot to ask. Not impressed w/ the Bose system so it's this or the standard equipment.

- Deviated stitching is apparently not an option for early orders - a bit of a bummer.

- According to dealer, PDK is the only option for early orders. Not an issue for me because that's what I want, but FYI.

- Nice that PCM is now standard equipment. Like always, the options really add up but it was a nice surprise to see PCM as standard.

yeah i am not crazy about the sunroof, but i want to see in person before i make the decision.

also, i saw the PCM was standard which is very kewl as the price of the car creeped up.
now the question comes to should i buy a new 991 or used lambo. lol

I was told yesterday that I was slotted for October production. But I have yet to see a full order guide so I need to head in and check it out. If 7 speed isn't an option at the start I may have to give up my spot and wait a couple months...

You might want to call your dealer before heading in. I did the exact same thing yesterday but they didn't have one -- just what's on the web.

I lol'ed so hard when I read this. It is like something that you cannot un-see when someone points it out to you.

PDK is a must in LA traffic.

I am very glad that the 991 is getting here earlier than expected. Thanks for the info. +1 rep point for you.
