Optional Duck Tail for 991
Thanks so much for the pics shadow! Seriously, all the pics out there before were terrible close ups.
I think the duck tail looks nice in every angle except this one. From here, it does look like an afterthought.
Hmmm...I am still very torn. Btw, I'm the kind of guy who thinks that a 911 needs a spoiler to make it look complete. It's just personal taste. I really like duck tails and they really are my favorite 911 spoiler. It looks very very nice in all these pics (except for the one I quoted), but is it right on such a modern car? Does it pull the car together thematically or does it distract? Hmmm...I have to see it in person. Maybe it's those wheels.
Btw, shadow, is that you in the other picture?

no that´s not me, but i am the same nordic type, same clothing style.
so it could have been me indeed.

i think it looks cool, but not in combination with those wheels imho.
imagine that thing with black HREs.

disco duck
I take a look at this a few times, it is starting to grow on me... How does this look in person? Some angle still look very strange like an after thought. M it is just not a photogenic, but looks good in person. the front duck beak looks pretty good in that silver too !
I get it. You look very European. I am on the opposite end of things. I look very Californian and wear boardshorts on the weekends.
I noticed that the duck tail has led lights on it. I never noticed that. I really need to see it in person to decide.

yeah agreed, on every photo it looks slightly different. it´s all about the feeling in real life.
P.S. don`t get me wrong. i own plenty of board shorts and together with a pair of Vans or flip-flops i feel all dressed up, but we haven´t had a summer this year and it`s pretty rainy now. we have had a period of 6 hot days in June and i live in the south west, ffs! the weather has sucked all year long. too much snow and no freakin`sun. The word California makes me drool these days!

When I studied abroad in Britain when I was younger, I missed the sunshine. It was always cold, rainy, and cloudy, so I know what you mean. I missed the sun so badly, that I threw a California party in the kitchen by turning on the oven for the heat (we have no heaters) and just relaxed in our bathing suits. Try to picture it. It was

I know what you mean. No offense taken. I'd love to go back to Germany and drink all the different beers that you guys have. I drool over that.

.the brits will not like this but as much as i love their sarcasm and humor, their obsession with class and the royals, i have to say that their weather is still 2 steps above ours here on the sucko-meter. i have been there many times but only once i was able to capture a sunny day and i even witnessed one of the most epic sunrises of my life at the docks in Brighton that day. i sound like a girl, but it was too good.
you are rite, the beer over here makes up for a lot of things, also the Schnitzel, the Autobahn and the many blonde Fräulein Schmitts.
haha, that´s cool. ovens are really underated!

I actually studied abroad in Brighton and Sussex. You have to come to California one day and see a sunset on a surf board. It is sooooooooo epic! Imagine, bobbing up and down on a surfboard on a Friday afternoon as the sun sets far off in the distance. The fresh ocean air caresses your face. The cool water running in between your toes. All the stress just melts away. And let's not mention Hawaii.
That, I didn't want to mention to hot blonde german chicks because I didn't want anyone to think I am shallow, but that alone makes up for everything.

yeah, i need to do this, really! but stop talking about hawaii man, it freakin kills me here with all the raindrops on my window.
i sold my surfboard (wind surfing) 2 years ago, cause i didn`t get the time to really use it. the next lake is about 30 miles away and there isn`t much space on it and now they have limited it even more. i need to this before my bones start snapping.
The more I see it the more I hate it. Sorry guys, I am not trying to start an argument or be a troll, I just hate it. The front LED strip looks like an after thought, the 20" wheels are boring and to big. The rear end makes it look like Mork From Ork's spaceship The tail lights pushed in do nothing for me either. The only poitive thing I can say is that I like the way the roof line slopes down smoother,I really had hopes for this car.

the 991 itself is starting to grow on me...i really like the chin spoiler and the duck tail...the way it is integrated into the car is really nice. but i don't care for those wheels at all...
I'm diggin' this car. The more I see it, the more I like it. I also like the old school duck tail and I think the 991 is going to sell like hotcakes. Do people still use that phrase?
