2 991's at Champion Motors 10-21-12
Anyone else think that the rear looks unfinished when the wing is up. It needs a 1 inch piece of body color to continue from taillight to tailight. I think Porsche purposely makes the wing look unfinished when up. Keeps the models looking different. How hard could it be to make the S version with a good looking pop up spoiler. Best of both worlds if they would make it.
I see what you're saying for sure. But upon a second glance and when in motion it looks like a huge exhaust vent
Here's a few pics of the new 991's "unveiling" at Champion Motors this past Saturday. Nice event, nice cars.....overall, I'm more than happy with my 997. And I wish I would have gone to the keys...LOL!!! But seriously, the 991 is high-tech, sleek, wider, longer, lower than the 997. the lines appear more aerodynamic. The headlights are "bubbled". The salesmen who had just returned from test-driving the 991 in California had nothing but EXCELLENT things to say about the car. I'm sure it drives phenomenally well, albeit more well-behaved, but I fear that the 991 is veering away from the true sports car "feel" that defines the 911, and moving more into the "luxury" sports car market, to compete with the likes of the Maserati and Aston-Martin. Then again, that is merely my opinion, and I have yet to drive the car. If someone GAVE me the car, sure, I would keep it....am I anxiously awaiting to trade my 997 in for a 991......nope.
pretty sure the cars were euro spec.
I did not think a new thread was needed, so I'll just share here.
I went to a Plano dealer yesterday morning and they had 3 CS'.
Pics would have been lousy since the cars were inside.
A black/black with a SOLD tag hanging was on the showroom floor.
A white/beige in service drive.
A grey/black with Dealer tags was also in the service drive.
Just my observations:
The black car did not show off the new lines as well.
I would have thought my tongue would have fallen out for white but found myself staring at the grey car.
FYI for any D/FW members wanting a close up...
I was going to drive downtown to check their lot but went on to buy football grub and drinks instead.

Hey Ken....they're still over at the dealership.
Rumor has it that we actually have some US spec delivery cars as well...
