New 991 Order
Do you strongly desire the multi-function steering wheel? The controls for the radio/phone/etc are very close to your hands even without having them on your steering wheel.
The upgrade SportDesign steering wheel is sharp and has the actual PDK aluminum (real metal) paddles (instead of silver painted buttons) for shifting. It's pretty good looking. Some say less dated. But this upgraded wheel is very "driving" purposeful and cannot be had with the multifunction buttons.
In the photos below you are currently getting the tan wheel - yours will be black obviously
Just a thought. Enjoy your process - It's gonna be a fun summer for you.

but here is a pair of 991's with and without PDCC
Also virtually eliminating body roll for some people may take some of the fun out of driving a performance car.
At a minimum perhaps a disengage PDCC button should be offered.
Leaving potential future technical problems/failures aside no doubt PDCC is effective. My concerns are that under normal street driving conditions there are so few opportunities to engage PDCC to its true potential. That being said it becomes an unnecessary cost.

I'd decide on PDCC monetarily. Not "will it break?" It isn't new - you can get it on other models of Porsche automobile. Heck Burmester is more intricate and component rich that stock radio... but people still buy it.

He brings up his thoughts about feeling the roll of the car and you go all the way to having not windows.
Why does it bother you so much that people want to be connected to the road? (This is a far cry from not wanting windows.)
And you talk about wanting a GT3RS? Geez....you’re starting to sound like the ultimate badge worshiper.
Explain to me how does more sway and rolling of a car around the road equal "a fun driving experience"?
If roll and sway = a more pleasurable experience then a '84 suzuki samurai must be a hoot to own.
Why does it bother you so much when people want to enjoy the added qualities of the 991? A flatter drive equates to a tighter more aggressive handling - and hence a more enjoyable experience. More road feel. Sway and roll = numb and disconnect - Isn't that what you're against? Or is it just anything attached to the 991 that you are against?
If PDCC weren't a value-add, then it wouldn't increase the cost.

Its just your attitude towards people who dont agree with you that is not necessary.
Go back and read some of your posts and see how you have jumped on people. We can disagree if we wish but at least we can do it with some class.
I didn't jump on aamersa. I only jump on you because you have historically accused me with words like "whining", "badge worshipper", etc.
I have respect for aamersa and he's been here a long time. I pointed out my opinion on his thoughts on PDCC by using an example. I didn't call him an idiot, or anything else. While technology adds servo's and things that can break - i don't think that pdcc is ripe for failure like air suspension might be. And I don't feel body roll is one of those "fun" elements.
I also likened rawness to having no windows because the older GULF cars had no windows.
But whatever - I was giving the OP options -- which he asked for.

Whatever indeed...
Yes I did use whining once...and I do apologize....I should have said constant campaign which would be more politically correct.
