991 viewing tonight; good news, no news, big question

Good news....the center console was better than I was expecting.

No news....yes it feels bigger inside than my 2012 997.2 GTS. Interior quality is very nice. Overall a beautifully done vehicle. Looks more like a refined GT vehicle vs purposeful sports car. (I suspect driving time will tell me it is a bit of both....Jekyll and Hyde.)

Big question....how will Porsche reign in the luxury feel and deliver on a GT3 variant for those purists that want the more raw, tactile driver's car? Seeing the 991 S makes it hard to imagine how they will pull off that morphing.

Only seat time I had was stationary along with the 100 or so others at this launch event. Maybe I'll get some driving time later this month.

I very much enjoyed my drive home in my 2012 997.2 GTS

Aesthetically speaking, the 991 is an absolutely beautiful car. The appearance of the wart has improved leaps and bounds imo. That was a welcomed change for me.

Please let us know what you think about the 991 (specifically the steering and the low end torque) after you test drive it.
