HAHA. Totally. I just thought I'd jump back in here to add that the guy PM'ed me his RESUME to prove his "worth".
Needless to say he's on my block list now. Now I've seen everything in a forum. Laughable.
He is CEO of his own company selling consumer product (must be Amway). Guess what? I'm CEO of my own household. And I have my own zoo! (2 cats and a dog)

Not trying to stir things up, but why are people getting so bent out of shape because of a car being criticized? If someone says your car sucks, why let it bother you if you like your car? It's just a different opinion, and yours is the one that counts.
And I respectfully suggest that we not overidentify with our cars either. At most, they're a partial reflection of part of us. We aren't our cars, nor vice versa.
To those of you who just got a 991, or are getting one, congratulations and enjoy. It's a fine car. Not everyone's first choice, but a fine car nonetheless and ideal for many people.

The only thing that annoys me is the politics. If I wanted to watch that stuff I wouldn't come to a 991 forum for it. Only time will tell what ends up being the little buggaboos of the 991, but I can tell you one thing that WON'T be wearing out...The little struts that hold the decklid open, there's nothing to look at back there except a couple of fans and a plastic cover 
I really can't believe that they'd hide the engine from people in a car that is meant for sport and show. How often have you gone to a cars and coffee and people hang out with their decklids open so you can see the mods they've done or the ingenuity behind the engine design. For a A to B car, who cares. But for an sporting enthusiast's car, I WANNA SEE SOME ENGINE!!!
