Don't get me wrong, I love, love my 991, but nothing out there is even close at any price? I wouldn't go that far

Fester, hang in there. It won't be long now. Agree with what Sid and others have said. Speak to the GM of your dealer.

You are way too close to give up now, **** off, yes, but can't give up now. But I know how it feel, I waited much longer for car before, and went through the same exercise. But when the car was finally in hand, I just forgot everything else, well, till I saw the invoice.

Unhappy

Ok...so this might stir some things up...but...

I've been REALLY REALLY REALLY struggling between Sport design and Carrera Classic wheels? I could use some help from you guys...

My build is Basalt Black Metallic with 2-tone pebble grey/agate grey interior (for those of you who haven't seen the two tone, the pebble is almost a white...the configurater doesn't do it justice) and I will have aluminum trim.

Any pics are welcome and what you've got would be great!

Help? Lol.

Fester I've seen your car and it looks fantastic...you won't be dissapointed. Picking it up tomorrow? Once you get in and drive all will be forgotten. Guys keep in mind the dealer has no control over the process Porsche does what they want. I have a car the has been completed on the 8th still waiting to get on vessel. It is just as frustrating for dealers. Trust me we want to get cars to our clients ASAP.

Here's a pic of mine with classics. From this distance the car looks black so I thought it might help you visualise it better

Days will pas quickly and your nice looking C4S will definitely arrive very soon

I'm sure we've all had similar things happen to us with all sorts of organizations.

Fact is that the car is going to be superb and as others have mentioned it'll be worth the current hassle. Take care friend.

The Canadian market gets very few production slots but then we only buy less than 10% of what the US market absorbs. Very frustrating to me as this is my 13th Porsche and its going to take something like 165+ days from order to receipt.

I totally understand where you're coming from and your current disposition.
It's almost more about the (seeming) lack of respect than the fact that your car is going to be delayed a few more days.

I'd talk to the GM or owner and explain what's happening, how you feel about it and that you are calling on him to rectify the situation ASAP... mentioning that the issue is being discussed on a very active and high-flow traffic forum will perhaps peek his "invested" interest.

It could simply be a matter of red tape at customs or (as has happened at my dealer) miscommunication with the transport company... regardless, you should be made to feel like everything is being done to actively deal with the issue.

You may not be feeling the "love" from the dealer right now but I think (judging from the outpouring of support here) your 6speed brothers are here for ya!

Come on... you're part of the family, there's no way we're letting you jump ship now!

Hang in there buddy!!

That's great!!! I was gonna give you a ride in my C4S to convince you that it's worth the wait & hassle, but now we can go for a drive together! Up & down Fwy 280 under 4200 rpm until 2k mi, then step on it!
