991s as a dd? Trade or not, misc blah blahs

I currently have a 335i and a 997.1 TT. The 335i is my DD and the 997 is my weekend warrior.

I was going to go to a Panamera (drove one and they are great) and keep the TT. However I am now thinking of trading in the TT on a 991 S. I have not driven a 991. This coming weekend I will get a test drive in. I may come back and post that it's not for me or doesn't compare. But then again, I may not.

Until then I figured I'd ask some questions....

Any folks in their 40s driving a 991 as their DD? If so, how is that working out for you?

Any TT owners trade for a 991? If so, how's that working out for you? What do you like over your TT? What do you miss?

If I decide not to go with a 991 my fallback plan is to trade the BMW towards a Panamera v6 or just keep what I have a bit longer.

Obviously none of this is rational, so let's not try too hard to make it so.

Well I will drive my 991, and did drive my 997, as a quasi-daily driver. I drive it about 3-4 days per week, and have a 2012 Range Rover Sport Supercharged that I drive in-between. The 515hp in Supercharged gives me required dose of speed, but SUV qualities when needed. The 991 is SO much smoother a ride than my 2011 997, and could totally see it as a daily driver no problem at all.

The 991 is a much smoother, refined ride so it makes for a decent DD. You'll probably miss the torque more than anything.

the 991 is set up to be a great DD...keep the 335i for when you need a room for 4 and trade the TT For the 991
