Both Cars are Carrera S with PDK 3.8s. The difference is one is a 2009 997.2 and the other the 2012 991.

There is no 3.4 in the video.

 

Great video they were both 3.8 cars I believe. Both S models.

the pro is in the 991 or the 997.

did you switch drivers and shoot again?

 

The Driving Pro is in the 991. I figured he doesn't like to lose and I don't mind getting passed as much. I set up the cameras and drove also. We both had the cars in Sport plus and had the cars shift automatically to make it as consistent as possible and less variables.

 

Ah, my bad.....you're quite right. Wasn't using my reading glasses when i watched that. Looking at it again proves one thing that the 991 certainly gets into a stride against the 997 even though it did get that tiny better launch. Oh well, looking at the result may mean the time has come to change up eh as even with a driver swap things aren't likely to change that much there.

 

No probable not...that video is pretty amazing.

 

Nice job going to the trouble to arrange that comparison. It appears just as Porsche intended it since they are stating that the 991S is superior to the 997S...and it seems they aren't just saying it for marketing purposes after all!

 

Not bad to watch but the woman's voice is horrid and needs to be removed.

 

how many miles are on that 991? did you do any break in whatsoever or just drive it hard from day 1?
