Weird nothing updated here in Canada..

.... went to the US and configured it. Wow.. this would be a perfect replacement for the Targa, I am guessing the hatch won't open up, no big deal I can slide the clubs in. Ok no I am getting ultra ultra excited, can't wait to see the C4S

Be patient (like I'm one to talk ), the targa is coming and it will have a glass lift out roof.

BTW if you're on the Canadian configurater and have just done a build... when you click on "new model" (first button on the left) it will take you back to the 911 models but... only the base, S turbo/S Cabs will show!

I'm hoping this means that the targa's, 4, 4S have been taken of the factory assembly line in order to make room for the new 991 versions!!!

OH man I really really hope they are coming SOON!!
I can't stand it anymore...

9911 is infamous around these parts
My first post... ...and some 991 news

Hey guys!

I thought it i time for my first post after having been a "slient" reader for the past month or so. I ordered my (first!!!) 911 couple of weeks ago and am now waiting...........

So far so good, but I have some good news for you. I visited my dealer today and they told me about additional options for the 991, which are not yet in the configurator (most of them will be available from 11/2012 on only). I can not recall all of them, but will try my best:
  • New ext colors: a new white, a shiny brown (a bit like the brown from the 997) and two others (some grey I think)
  • New int colors apart from the umbra: I can only recall a new two tone grey/black combination, but there are one or two other new int colors as well
  • New comfort options: Here I can only recall a distance tempostat (no clue what you call this in english, but it is the automated speed control which does measure the distance to the vehicle in front and adapts your speed automatically). There are probably two or three other additional features, but I don't recall them unfortunately.

I hope that this is help for everyone configuring his 991 at the moment. Just ask your dealer about it.

Best!
9911

PS: Actually that was my second post... didn't remember the first one :-) lol...

I will be upset about this one seeing as how I ordered carrara white ext. If it's a flat white I am going to be disappointed I didn't wait a bit longer. Oh well

Has anyone noticed that if you choose sport seats plus, with full leather the price is only $1,250 and you can choose any leather option at no extra cost???

I think it is because the full leather package includes the sport seats plus. You are only being charged the difference.

Looks like it, but I think it was a mistake to begin with.

You are probably not old enough, but to quote Artie Johnson, "very interesting, but stupid."

Where would one put the 20" wheel after the spare went on it? Specially if you have a passenger?
Is it one of those embarrassing little donut spares? First, whose going to want to change a 20" tire on a 911 on the side of the road and then second be seen driving on a donut wheel? Yes I know here are remote places and times you can't get a flat bead (I live in Colorado), but with cell phones how likely is this to be an issue?

What will you do the original flat tire? Put it in the car?
