Smile 991S or 997TT

Hey folks,

991, brand new car, chassis, interior, more gadgets, but 100hp less.
09/10 997TT PDK, slightly used, same body, interior, no power steering assist , but 100hp + and it is a TURBO!!

991 S nicely equipped is almost 30k more than 997 TT
991 none S nicely equipped is roughly the same price of this TT

I really missed my 07 TT stick. But is it worth spending that much more for just a new PDK tranny? Power is amazing and I have been missing it. I even consider to get the new boxster s for now and wait for used 991 turbo Review have being saying new 981 s is amazing.

cheers!

I haven't driven a 991 yet, but they look very nice in person. If your a HP junky like me, then no less than a TT will do. I plan to get a 991ttt when they hit the used market. Until then, very happy with my 997tt. Love that kick in the back when the turbos come up to full boost.

Dectanes are cheap on Ebay. I consider the audio unit (2009 and later) to be the bigger upgrade and even that can be fixed with a nice aftermarket unit (the pre-2009 stuff is junk- 1990's technology). Remember, the last turbos with the GT1 derived Mezger were made in 2009 That may or may not be of some value down the road?

They are apples and oranges, you really need to drive them. The new 911 is really, really nice, less horsepower not withstanding.
