Aim to be at 40 hot, and adjust it from there.

That has been my experience with R888's too. I was running 38-40 on PSS's and am now running mid 30's on the R888's.
The only issue is that I was down to 23psi the next morning once the tires had cooled down
If there is no compressed air available at the track, always bring something to inflate your tires if needed... or rely on a friend.

Good tips. Thank you.
Anyone know what the air situation is at VIR, or if it's just easier bringing a compressor?

At least for me, I feel most comfortable when the R888s are around 36 hot. This usually means starting them at 25. I just make sure to fill up before leaving the track, or at the gas station on my way out.
