I was not a fan of Red 911s until I recently saw a 991CS at the local Porsche dealership with Carrera Classic wheels and PASM with the rear spoiler up. I had to do a double take and just could not take my eyes off of it !!

To me the choice between Guards Red and White (which is the colour I was also considering) is this: If you want a more sporty looking 991CS, Guards Red it is. If you want a more refined looking 991CS, White or Dark Blue Metalic would be my choices !!! Crap, know I'm back to thinking about getting ones of these !!

Good Luck with you choice

Pretty sure you can't go wrong with either but would love some pics with those colors and any feedback on how they look in the wild.

Opting for the glass sunroof as well.

Thanks!
Go with your instinct. I can see a tough call between GR and many other colors, but with white, the two couldn't be more different, one screaming for attention and the other the most common vehicle color across the board.

BTW, GR looks great in any light and don't base your decision on pics alone cause they don't depict reality 100%

disclaimer: color is very subjective and there is no right or wrong answer.

Carrara White is my preferred choice (although I think it's replaced by pure White in 2013 models), Guards Red would be my inner child's choice, and I ended up with Agate Grey to stay below the radar and attract less attention.

I'm a little biased, but I really like the CW with either the black or platinum wheels. I also like GR, but imho it needs darker wheels.

I had the same dilemma. Finally decided on white with black wheels and black interior with deviated stitching red.

I like white, but I can see why others like red more. The one thing that I notice when I see it in person is that the taillights blend in with the rest of the car. That could be a good or bad thing depending on your preferences.

I'm going GR. Hey - it's my first Porsche - might as well make a splash!

Now 'only' issue left to resolve is whether or not to go platinum on the wheels.

Yep, that's me, first porsche and GR.

Wheels painted in black (which I don't have) also make it mean looking.

I saw a Guards Red/ Luxor Beige 991 at the dealer. It was stunning....
I know just about everyone gets a black interior, but red/beige combo is classic Porsche/Ferrari....and looks awesome on the 991.

Had two GR new P cars.

They were beautiful.

Never once got pulled over by LE and passed 100s in the years I owned them.

I would go for GR in a heartbeat in the 991.

I agree, dark blue is my favorite color and second is white as it looks very refined in those colors.
