SM_ATL's 991 - Fall collection
And as a last post for today, a pic for Chuck of a buddy in a Corvette probably asking himself: 'How can these 911 be so quick and agile
I need a straight line to catch up
'

Nothing malicious here, track guys are a great crowd and sectarianism stinks!

My thoughts:
Exterior:
Remove the stickers
Keep the spoiler
Powdercoat the wheels either platinum or something like anthracite/dark grey (I agree with your thoughts on all-black wheels looking like a hole)
Lower the stance
Maybe add the 'CarreraS' stickers to the doors ala GTS
Interior:
Add the CF trim pieces
Performance:
everything you mentioned. You have more experience at that than I do so my opinion here isn't worth a damn...but I'm learning from discussions like this one!
As for the Aerokit: I've never been too much of a fan of the mods that try to make a Carrera look like a GT3, but that's just me.
Most important here is that you are certainly getting your full 911 experience! Enjoy!

Interesting comment on Carrera vs. GT3 wannabe. Food for thought...
Thanks!
BTW and out of curiosity, has someone already found Fuchs/ replica's in 20" size??
That is tough and such a individualistic call. I love the performance updates and the wheels ( i liked the stock wheels also). I am not wild about the style upgrades. I think the race car look of the decals and the like are too much and the aero kit while interesting, ruins the clean overall appearance. If you want a sports car, drive a sports car. If you want a race car, drive that. But driving a sports car that looks like a race car? That is not for me. Just my opinion. I love your experimenting and thanks so much for your great reports!
More than one month before the release of the aerokit cup and then some lead time...
Means I'll start to move in this direction but will be patient.
Here's what I'll probably do in the short term: back to the 'Carrera S' cleaner style, keep the wing, lower springs and other stuff of course.
Also thought I would have my wheels powdercoated in Platinum as 100% black wheels look like black holes if they are not complemented by something else on the car...

Getting a bit of a 'sleeper' with a bit more hp, louder exhaust, improved suspension, bigger brakes, forged wheels, some weight removed, bucket seats, roll cage ... but still looking Stock+from the outside
The aerokit cup would definitely get me where I want to...
EDIT: Meanwhile, and because my impatience is beyond any reasonable limit, I have also ordered the CF interior. At least a 0.001 hp increase

The point I have been debating with myself was to know if I wanted a sportscar + a track car, but doing the math, it was less expensive to upgrade the 991 and take it to the track (and I would be frustrated to drive something slower than the 991 on the track -...unless I'd put a lot of dough in it-).
Hence why I ended up with some kind of a 'hybrid' design, but it is true that driving around town with the decals and numbers on the doors is a little weird.
So it looks like there is a consensus for something more low key, and I must say I am sold! This thread has been better -and certainly cheaper- than going to the shrink.
Performance upgrades and experiments will continue of course

I have no info on Fuchs. 20", but black spoke, silver outer Fuchs would look great on your black white theme.
Carrera S door stickers.
Black paint on the Techart wing?
I know you weren't thrilled with the PORSCHE side stripes, but I wonder how they would look level horizontal, vs following lines of car/windows?
I have no product for you, but a black lip/splitter that goes all around to wheel wells vs the SPASM lip.
Aero kit is nice but, to me, a bit too modern in its lines for a 911. It's as though they tried to update the 997 GT3 look, just to, well, update it. And 997.2 GT3 look was unbelievable, IMO.
What I think would look smashing on a 991 would be the side/wheel well air outlets in the rear bumper. (I am sure these have a name that I don't know.)
And of course, the Euro-spec rear bumper does look better with its wider center /license plate indent. And the more centered rear reflectors.

The Techart "ducktail" that goes under their full-on wing is very nicely executed. I wonder how it would look on its own?
I think it may be a tad small/narrow, but if they would make a standalone somewhat bigger version of that, I think it would look very nice. (nicer than the current Porsche duck offering, IMO)

Looks very nice. Maybe less aggressive than the Porsche ducktail. Would need to check if available without the wing from Techart...
Yes, even though less aggressive, it is truer to the original ducktail outline, IMO, in that it follows the window/grill line as opposed to the new wider cut line below the rear window.
