PDK Acceleration Character

In my 2009S PDK, if I accelerated quickly from a standstill the car would lock the PDK in gear without slippage. Now with this new 3.4, the PDK allows the engine to slip the clutch to around 3000 like you were slipping the clutch on a manual transmission, then locks in. I'm assuming the clutch is slipping because I don't see any black stripes behind me. I enjoy this a lot more and I'm assuming it doesn't hurt the clutch as they are in liquid. Has anyone noticed this? By-the-way, it only happens if you get on the gas a little. I'm still in break-in mode so I've only used about 25% power and kept it below the 4200 mark.
