something definitely doesn't seem right here, i am a gm of a car dealership and we live off warranty work, when a recall happens it is great for business. So why would a dealership turn down a job that would pay in the thousands?? There has to be more to the story

msizzle66 --the dealer's explanation was that Porsche underestimates warranty repair times for reimbursement and with only one Porsche certified mechanic they couldn't afford to tie up their shop when they had paying customers. Their mechanic also told the service writer he felt uncomfortable performing the repair. My guess is they make more money doing $400 oil changes than extensive warranty recall procedures. :rolleyes:

Had my oil changed at my Porsche dealership here in Cleveland. It was the 1st or 2nd 991 oil change they had done. Mine was $225

991 is very easy to change oil, same like any normal car on the road. The dealer who told that it is difficult is the one who never change oil in 991
