Sorry for all of these local legal questions, but in NJ, a local money maker is red light camera's. They use them in two ways - one to give you a ticket if you are in the intersection during a yellow. Second - I love this - if you make a right on red, coming to a complete stop and then turning, but you don't wait a full 3 seconds (they will ticket you for 0.01's of a second early). Ah NJ and you, perfect together. Does anyone know what the actual laws are in NJ on turns on red and on being in an intersection in yellow - I thought that as long as you were in the intersection in yellow, if the light turns red before you are out of it, you are still OK. But others say it is you must be out by the end of the yellow.
