SportDesign pkg - 2 questions regarding cost and mechanics

For those of you who have received your SportDesign outfitted 991, a couple of questions:

1. Are the underlying mechanics of the speed activated rear spoiler (which obviously is no longer on your car) still intact? The non-ducktail cars have a servo and motors, as well as multistage activation hinges and all those doo-dads. When Porsche gives you a ducktail which is fixed, are those mechanics still underneath there?

2. Because if they aren't and you just have a simple ducktail, I can't imagine that spending $5000 isn't a GOUGE by the factory. You are saving them a lot of parts and installation, and giving them cash. The molded ducktail is just a cap-off. So why the deep expenditure? I know there is a front fascia as well. I'd almost assume the SportDesign ducktail to be a $0 option. The sportDesign combo seems more like a $1000-$1500 option at the most. $5,000 is 5% of the entire cost of a theoretical 911s. That's a rich option.

No offense to those that have it. It's a good looking add-on that wasn't available when I took delivery of mine. Congrats.
