Good morning everybody!

I am sorry I haven't posted any pictures yet, but since I picked it up, I have just used any chance of free time to drive it!

Today I may get a chance of driving it in the snow without snow tires (yet)....so the pictures may end up being of a damaged car!

Anyway.....really impressed with the overall performance....counting down to the 2,000 miles target.

I will try to take some pictures this afternoon and post them, but by them it will be pretty dirty, so please forgive me in advance for that!

Thank you!

Get snow tires. I got the 19" Pirellis. The drive like all season performance tires. Very nice. I assume the Michelins have the same feel.

First drive in the rain....

Interesting interaction with the Traction Control. I felt it was almost better to turn it off....

I tried to lose it a bit on the corners...

As I always assumed, it will require a lot of practice to master.

Still trying to understand if it's better in Sport Mode or Regular Mode in the rain.

Basically, if you sneeze while cornering, you spin 17 times around...

I hope you have winter tires on as the ones that come with the car will be useless in these temperatures.

No, not yet.

I am still deciding what to do...

I wanted to get a new set of wheels for the snow tires, but after waiting this long, I don't want to part with the Porsche wheels.....

These are the first (dirty) pictures I took last night....

Today, finally on dry pavement, I hit 110 mph a few times and I also noticed how the remaining range went from 256mi to 136mi in 8 minutes...which does not bother me at all, but I was getting surprised by how cheap the fuel consumption was...

I don't really care about fuel cost, I just hate to stand outside in the cold at 4am....

Love the color ale70, very nice choice. I would also consider some Porsche Tire bags for storage when you decided to get winter tires. Enjoy !!

It does a calculation based on current consumption (current fuel flow), and how much fuel is remaining.

When I'm under full throttle (for example), I get about 4mpg. So if calculations are done at different average mileage, you'll see the number fluctuate.

Going fast is expensive. If you think going 110 in the rain is fun, try 140 in freezing rain, on summer tires... It's like roller skating on ice.

Glad to see you're enjoying the car!!!

I keep wondering who's going to buy those things. There's been one in Carlsen Porsche (NorCal) for a while. It's slower and has fewer features than a new Cab at nearly twice the price. That, along with the glut of GTS's out there. Perhaps Porsche pushed a little too hard on the special editions at the end of the 997?

I think this is the issue...

Perhaps it would have a better move - if it was done a few years earlier, or let it run a couple more years. It's always nice to get an "everything" edition - good things come to those who wait.

BUT - it boils down to - would like to have everything on the old one? Or the first of a new one?

We can see how the market has decided.
