991 rear camera and other goodies integration

Nice little video. Camera integration with PCM looks impressive but physically not so good. Check it out!

The camera is interesting. I was somewhat disappointed that the car didn't come with a camera already so i've been looking around at options. I like that you can switch the views if needed and the integration looks good with PCM. Would have been nice though if the camera was a bit less noticeable on the read of the car.
Love the red interior!

Thanks

Best Buy seems to have a slim one for $149 with $75 installation.

fester, found this website that might be of interest:

http://www.navtv.com/product/260/rgb...eShowProduct=1

integrates camera along the license plate illuminator. according to manual, install voids pcm/radio warranty.

any mods guys out there willing to be the test pilot?

As I have full front & rear parking sensors with integrated graphical display - no real 'need' for a camera here. However, really interested in how Porsche will do it for 2014 and beyond - isn't it required by U.S. law or something?

yes, will be mandated starting in 2014 but the mandate isn't official yet and there is talk that it will likely be pushed back to a later date.
