European Delivery - Factory Tour/Museum?

After spending months planning, plotting and dreaming about
a) the purchase and
b) the spec and options of my white/red C2S,
I finally pressed the button and scheduled the rest of the trip -into Italy for a group tour following the Mille Miglia.

Then I found that my pickup date and the factory museum visit the day before are both a Public Holidays! .....Thursday & Friday in May!

So the question is for those who have been there before - can we do the museum/factory tour and collection all in one day?
If not, it's going to be difficult!

Very much appreciate any comments please, as I'd had to spoil the experience if it's avoidable.
Thanks, Paul

Definitely.

My experience was picking up the car first thing in the morning. The tour was about an hour and a half, then you have lunch in the executive dining room.

You have the whole afternoon for the museum.

One thing to mention is that at the factory is a really great store. Be sure to swing by there, it's different from the gift shop at the museum.

+1. In my case we did the factory tour befoe picking up the car. Then off to a terrific lunch, followed by the museum. My only mistake was not bringing my serious camera when I visited the museum.

Also a good idea to spend your fist night after this busy day in or near Stutgart.. In our case we drove an hour or so to Tubingen, an historic university town with walk-only cobblestone streets. Highly recommended.

Thanks guys,
That's put my mind at rest - we'll just have to get up early and make a full day of it to get everything in.

This was gnawing at me - so its great to have this info.

Yep, we won't travel too far the first night....

Actually, we went to a family wedding in Tubingen many years ago - pretty old Roman city that did not remain important after the Romans left.

OK, now what else have I forgotten.......

Esslingen is another small town, similar to Tubingen but a bit closer.
