A friend of mine got an extended warranty on a 2007 C4S Cab this week at one of the Montreal dealers. However, car was of Canadian origin and serviced at that dealer. Seller was actually trading it on new Porsche. I am not at all surprised that a US origin car is not able to get the Canadian CPO warranty. One of the pitfalls of buying a car originating in the US. McL in Vancouver does also offer a non Porsche warranty but have no idea if it can be sold for a non Canadian car. You'd have to ask the dealer in Calgary if that warranty is available to you. sorry can't be more help.

extended warranty for '09 C4S

I would like if anyone recently bought an 3 rd party extended warranty (not offered by Porsche company) and how much did you pay? Local porsche dealer selling me once for $250 deductible for 3yr/36,000 mile for $3,800.

I have searched old threads, not finding any recent number. Appreciate your feedback, response.

I see you are in CA, I bought the Fidelity Platinum extended warranty for my '10 4S coupe to cover it through January 2019 with a 100K cap. It is fully transferable and has a $50 deductible. It is an "exclusion" warranty which means unless it is listed in the warranty as excluded, it is covered. It is a good warranty from a huge company that is not going anywhere. I think it cost be about $4K and they wanted about $6.8K when I first checked into it at Porsche. I ended up buying it from a Chevrolet dealership as it does not matter who you but it from. Chevy was happy to discount it and make something, rather than nothing. I bought it for the peace of mind and should we decide to sell the 4S before 1/2019 it is a nice selling feature for a potential buyer. Good luck.
