Yes, unfortunately. So I always suggest people to order before the car built.

It will be the first button you will push after starting the car. It is really great when you pass a Mustang..... Enjoy

I can't remember how the factory PSE works but after the install my default startup is Sport off and PSE off. When I press Sport the PSE comes on automatically. If I press the PSE button with Sport on the PSE goes off but the Sport stays on. Same with Sport Plus. Since I have had the car (May 2012) I always press the Sport button on startup. As to cost I was able to get the PSE installed (parts, labor, and tax) for under $3200.

$3200 is a great price considering that the parts alone are about $2500 and it is quite a job to add the button.

PSE continuously ON (without button)

Congratulations, Steve!

PSE is the best!

I am thinking of doing it myself and I was wondering if I can install it without the button, just having it continuously ON.

I guess the question would be on the picture you showed with the actuator valves if you could have them continuously ON and if that is the default configuration or not.

Anybody knows?

Thanks

If you wanted it on all the time... IIRC PSE is very similar to the "gundo hack" plus the valve. So for not much money you'd have something similar always on.

Search over on the 997 board. Lots of discussion on it there. May or may not be applicable to the 991 exhaust.

Just curious will a "gundo hack" pass emission testing in most states?

Yes, the hack occurs after the cats so you should be fine.

Love the PSE! Just wanted to share a funny story. I went to play golf with my dad and his cronnies early yesterday morning. The club has this long winding drive and with PSE on I go rolling in there in second gear at about 4k nothing too aggressive. My dad's buddies ( in their late 70's early 80's) first thing out of their mouth "You lose your muffler?" Me "No, it suppose to sound that way. Sounds great doesn't it?". Them "Sounds like you need a muffler"
