I'm 41.

I just ordered my 4th Porsche, a 991S.

I have previously owned a 996Turbo, an 09 Cayman S and a 997S.

I'm 58 and my 991S is my 13th Porsche. My first Porsche was a 914 when I was 25. My 14th Porsche is a Cayenne diesel and I also love that car- the perfect SUV. I still look for the long way home, whichever car I'm driving We are a lucky bunch here.

About to turn 54. This is my second Porsche. My first was a 2007 C4S which I purchased with 11K miles on it about 2 years, just as a stepping stone to the 2013 C4S that I purchased this February. I've been watching my pennies all my life. Figured a flash-crash in the market, or God-forbid a heart attack, could happen at any moment, so I cracked open the wallet after I turned 50, and decide to spend some of the cash I had hoarded. The kids will just have to pay for their own Porsches with their own money when they are ready for one. The old man is going to enjoy some of the fruits of his labor while he can.

These polls isn't accurate. I am really surprised at how many 991 I see daily, all driven by men over 50 yrs old. I see more 991 then I see 997 and 996 combined on my daily drive to work. You come into these forums and see, I am 25, 27, 29, etc which isn't realistic. These forums only proves more young 911 owners visit car forums.

You're apparently incorrect. While there are plenty of us old guys, the 911 isn't just for our demographic. Though this report is from 2006, I doubt things have changed that much and this poll seems to be in synch with PCNA's analysis:

North America is Porsche's largest sales market. At the heart of the Porsche brand is a strong individualist drive and the brand's innovative spirit and fierce independence directly reflects Porsche owners' most strongly held values. Porsche Cars North America research has revealed that:

• 86% of Porsche 911 owners are male
• Porsche 911 owners are primarily 36 to 55 years old
• The average age of a Porsche 911 owner is 46 years
• Porsche owners have an annual gross income of $384,210
• Business – Senior Executive, Business Owners, Health Care Professional

I'm 33, and this is my first Porsche. Love the car, different feel from my past Japanese tuner type cars. Started with a Acura ITR, to a 1995 Mazda RX7 and recently purchased certified 2012 991S. Had ordered a 2015 Nissan GTR black edition, but my wife felt that the GTR was for someone in their 20s (I disagreed, but as they say happy wife, happy wife)... It was a hard decision but eventually backed out on the GTR and started shopping for a Porsche, originally looking for a 997.2, but fell in love with the interior of the 991.

I have owned Porsches while being a member of each age group.

If you want some fun, ask people what color and type they owned at each age they owned it and get a statistician to, oh never mind.
