My order was submitted on March 21 and it arrived at the dealership on May 25! So I get to enjoy my new car for the entire summer, which was a prerequisite. To say that I'm stoked is an understatement! I'm getting it clear masked as I post (otherwise I wouldn't have found time to post.
Needless to say, I can't wait to put some miles on this sweet machine. I put on 300 hundred miles over the weekend and I'm becoming familiar with all of the electronics: nav, sound system etc...as I break her in. My camera blows, but at least the subject is interesting.

Congrats! I am impressed and jealous that your wait was so short for this car to arrive! My wait is going to be about 6 months from that same dealership for my '14 C4S! Was this one configurable in the pipeline?
Also, can I ask who is doing your clear bra?

It was an allocation that was in the pipeline and I believe the sales mngr. had to make a phone call to assure the late April build. I'm using IDS for the clear mask (full hood, front fascia, areas fore and aft of the rear fenders, area aft of the front fender, plus window tint). I've been using them for years and they've had the same installer for as long as I can remember. Ferrari of Denver sends 90% of their work to IDS and Schomp BMW used to use them exclusively. My car should be ready tomorrow late afternoon if you care to check out the quality of their work. An October delivery is not too bad. I was told they couldn't submit 2014 builds until August?
Thanks for the info, Bob. I use IDS for all of my car tints and they do a great job. I am fairly certain they custom cut their tint, so I assume they do the same for their clear mask jobs as well. Please let me (and the rest of the board) know how it turns out!
Regarding my build - Porsche accepted my build back in April for a MY 2014, however they originally gave me an estimated delivery date of late November! I couldn't believe the wait time was that long! I was tempted to go to another dealer to see about an earlier build allocation thinking I was getting screwed with, but my salesman eventually called to see why the wait was so long. Porsche replied that the lighted door sill plates I selected weren't available until September, therefore my build date would be September. I quickly decided to remove that option and now I am waiting to get my exact build date. Right now I have an estimated delivery for mid-October and a build freeze date of July 1st. I'm hoping (but not optimistic) it is built before they shut the doors for Summer vacation!
At least I don't mind getting it in October. The weather is still decent so I can put some miles on it before the weather gets nasty.
One more question: Did you test drive both the standard S, as well as the X51 version? I am tempted to pull the trigger on the X51, but I am not sure the price justifies the gains. Thanks!
