All good reasons for backing in, but depending on situation, sometimes it is worse to back in than to go nose in first. My fear, when backing in, is that because the the nose is facing the "walk area" that people are more likely to sit on the hood or the fender of the car, or put their packages on top of it as the open the trunk of their car parked next to you. There is really no place to do that on the rear end of the car. Yeah I know, I am a bit paranoid.

 

I learned this the hard way with my first Corvette: it's a lot less costly (both mentally and financially) by getting into the habit of backing into parking spaces.

I have the Aero Kit on my CS2 and it doesn't get along with concrete parking curbs or bumpers. I don't care how careful a person is: a brief distraction can cause a lot of grief.

It's funny, but the "car" guys/gals in my area consider people who park nose-first to be amateurs.
