Aluminum look vs black dial faces

I just returned my leased C4S and picked up a new special ordered 2013 Carrera S. I love the new car - but I was disappointed to see that the tach is aluminum look while the other dials are black. Definitely don't like the mixed look. Anyone else bothered by this?
I would change out the dial face but that would probably cost more than my house payment!!

Every Porsche S model has a grey/alu tacho. From the the Boxster to the Cayenne.
For the 991 there is a free option (022 - Instrument dials in black) to get a black dial if you order a car. Since yours is a special ordered car, I'm a bit surprised that you didn't notice it or haven't been informed about it by your salesman. Didn't you testdrive a Carrera S before you ordered it?

I think you could ask your dealer if they can exchange the dial face (which I think, should be possible) and if so, how much they charge for it. But I guess it's not a free option if done afterwards.

Good luck with it and congrats with your car

thanks Suzy. Yes I did test drive a 991 S before I bought but I just didn't pay attention to the dials. Dumb of me I guess but I just presumed they would all be alum look like my 997. Salesman didn't say anything and I ignored the no charge black dial option.
I will check on the feasibility of changing the tach to a black face but I suspect it will be expensive and not worth bothering with. Not really a big deal - just one of those little things that I would have done differently had I been aware of it.

It's like building a new house... When you have your first house built, you always find things that could have done better or different. Only when you have your second house built, you can make it exactly the way you want it to be (or maybe it gets only right with the 3rd attempt... or 4th... or 5th)

I hope they won't charge too much for it, so you can concentrate more on the fantastic driving experience instead of being distracted by the alu tacho
