Sold my 991 !
Interesting, I never heard that the rating was directly related to miles???
This from Wiki:
The Treadwear Grade describes how a tire manufacturer views the wear of a given tire. In theory, this means that a tire with a 200 grade will wear twice as long as a tire with a 100 grade. However, tire manufacturers are not under any obligation to grade a tire based on the test results, except to say that they can not overstate the grade. This is enforced by NHTSA requiring documentation to justify any assignment of a grade on a tire.
As Course Monitoring Tires have changed, their treadwear grades have changed to numbers considerably higher than 100. As a result, it would be incorrect to say that a tire with a treadwear grade of 200 gets twice the life of the Course Monitoring Tire.

The P Zero is Treadwear rated at 220 which translates to about 22,000 miles so with aggressive driving, you're right on.

OK, so the buyer had inspected my car once including the tires. And a price was agreed between us after negotiation. So when he was forced to change the tires at title transfer (as required by inspection) he expected me to chip in for at least part of the cost? ( Side note:If I (original owner) kept the car no vehicle inspection is required for the first 3 yrs)
What would be fair in your opinion?

If it were me, I would split the cost of the 2 rear tires and be done with it. I assume you are receiving a fair price for the car and another 5 or 6 hundred is not going to break the bank.......;-)
As requested and promised by me pics of my new car. I think porsche makes great practical high performance cars that are excellent value for money. I will still check back here often and be back in a porsche at some point. Let's see how the F world treats me. Best of luck to all!
