One wonders why he didn't attempt to turn and how he could be going that fast after a 90 degree corner. He probably should get some track time with a competent instructor before trying any more tricks.

On the other hand, he may have had an intermediate shaft problem and this is the only way he could think of to deal with it.

It's almost as if the barrier created a false horizon for him. By the time he figured out there was actually a turn there, is was all over with.
