Anyone with a painted front spoiler?
Anyone with a painted front spoiler?
I am considering having my front SPASM spoiler painted body color. I trust myself not to run into any curbs, but I do wonder how durable the paint would be given it's proximity to road debris, rocks, etc. Perhaps clear film protection.
Anyone else done this? Pictures? Testimonials?

It's as robust and durable as anything can be. I've scraped mine many times, without an issue so far. I was very skeptical and many instilled fear/uncertainty/doubts by quoting how bad their experience has been with their un painted front lip (falls off easily/breaks loose etc etc)...991 with spasm is brilliantly designed car that hardly scrapes any speed bumps, ramps etc. I just use my good judgement and drives down ramps (watch out for steep ramps downwards where these meet horinzontal road surfaces/sometimes dips depending how poor these are made) at an angle/sideways. I've had mine as a daily driver for over 8months now with 5.7K miles without any problems. And did I mention, it looks awesome!!!!

Since my 991 is all black, I feel like I already have a painted front spoiler
Actually with a black car, it saved me all that extra money no having to paint the mirror bottoms, rear diffuser, and even the key matches the car without the $300+ cost to match the key to the car color.

Funny I was just envisioning if I had a black car would I go for the painted option? Probably not...you save not only $3K for GT Silver paint but also this. One thing I've gotta tell you, the finish on the painted parts is amazing - just like rest of the shiny paint but black unpainted plastic still looks and feels like plastic....
