Tires balance and alignment at 350 miles on odometer
So car has been at dealer for more than a day for some early bugs. Spoke to technician this morning and they are both doing a road force balance and rotating (factory Pirellis) tires on wheels with a full dynamic balance. He has been able to reduce road force out of balance from 20lb range to sub ten pounds on most tire wheel combinations and reduce factory weights by more than half. He did state maximum allowed road force out of balance is 26 pounds on any tire/wheel combination. He says car is noticeably smoother to drive, Further has spent more time on alignment and getting rid of some of the tracking issues other have pointed out by be factious about four wheel alignment. In discussions I wonder if car/tires need the couple of hundred mile break in before balance and alignment can really be done? Just a thought. As I have previous reported this car was checked for alignment prior to delivery.
