I've heard those C250s are 911 killers on the highways... particularly over 120mph.

...In all seriousness, though, let us know if it was indeed the battery. That's nuts.

So it was battery. Got car back today and now have the infamous service warnings at 1001 miles. Dealer is sending their chief tech to my home in the am (about 90 miles) to reset. They say issue is with Porsche testing tool firmware. At least we don't have to round trip to dealer.

Sucks that it was the battery, although good it wasn't more complicated. Also seems you have a bad luck streak going with the service indicator firing as well. Glad they are doing the right thing and fixing it for you! Hang in there, I hope the weather cooperates and lets you get out and drive this weekend.

Dealer lead tech and another tech showed up at my home at 9am as promised. Reset all service indicators and monitors. Also had a number of codes (one in German they said was also on a new Turbo) Recorded and will be sending off to Germany.

So, did the fan drain the battery?

Replacing the battery is easier to do than figure out what caused it to drain.

I guess they have to process it through an Enigma Machine

Question get er done'

In some situations there won't be a code for what made the battery drain. Even if the code does find an issue, it is no guarantee that there aren't 2 gremlins at work...

I thought that if in fact a code that was thrown, the code would have been displayed on the dash prior to catastrophic failure of the battery. Unless of course there are codes that can be thrown, that owners can not see...?

Either way, looking forward to finding out.

Any votes for the PCM?

How about a pinched wire?

Any other guesses?
