Where to Look for Used Wheels/snows

So I just took the plunge and got a 991 Cab this week. I will do limited driving this winter here in Chicago and need to find a set of wheels and snow tires that will fit. I just don't have the space for a third car. The smallest size I can fit are 235/40/19 in the front and 285/35/19 in the back. I went to Tire Rack, my "go to" source for tires, and their basic package with wheels, tires and sensors runs about $2400. I would so much prefer to find a used, slightly nicer looking set. Any ideas on where to look? There don't seem to be a lot of snow tires in this size and doing a search for either those size tires, or wheels that are 8.5 J x 19 ET 54 and 11 J x 19 ET 63 in size is difficult. Many people advertise tire sizes and wheels in different ways so it's hard to put a search string in that will capture what I am looking for.

Anyone know of any particular sites to peruse, or other cars that have the same size wheels? I figure I have a month to find something, which isn't so much time.

Have you tried E Bay. I have sold wheels there but never purchased.

i would also contact your local Porsche dealer. If they are like our dealer in Springfield (see you are from Chicago) they periodically have take off wheels from when a customer wanted to upgrade or that someone traded in that they just want to sell.

I would do a google search as well. Several years ago found a set of 18" Sport Classic II wheels for my 993 that I bought directly from a dealer at much less than retail.

If that doesnt work I dont think you can go wroing with tirerack.com. Have purchased from them several times and have been very satisfied.

Thanks, I am currently doing all those things. Unfortunately, 19s are the smallest size that will fit and there aren't so many wheels/snows around.
