Lidar citation entering Nevada from California
This is a common answer I found..
ARE YOU A CALIFORNIA LICENSED DRIVER WHO RECEIVED AN OUT OF STATE CITATION?
If you're a California driver who was cited in a different state you must still address your situation in that state. If not, the state of California will add points to your driver record based on what you were cited for. To find out if you can complete traffic school in California or the state you were cited in, contact the court that issued your citation for permission

Im sure they will mail you full instructions.
However, it wont show up until 2 days before the due date.
Then if you dont pay it by that due date they will quadruple the fine. LOL.
See if there is a court website where you can request an extension. That buys you time to figure out your options.
Dont be surprised if your ticket is not even in the system for several weeks.

2days after I got my Escort MAX I got busted in Kansas for 97 in a 75 on the Kansas Turnpike. To my knowledge there is nothing that will shield you from LIDAR.

I should clarify I was driving my wife's audi q5 with the whole family.
Spoke to an attorney, told that the officer operated the lidar likely informed the one to pull me over. Likely the description was given rather than just license number. He couldn't have seen my plate from where he was parked except looking for a certain vehicle. Now he put on my ticket my car was gray, this means he may have been looking for a gray car! I need to find an attorney in Vegas to save me a trip back. Im told the ticket is highly questionable especially two officers were involved. Any referrals for a Vegas attorney?
It is my experience that cops never admit they are in error and getting a judge to believe "wrong car" is a stretch. On the rare occasion I appear for a client (usually an exec of a company we represent) I usually can get the cop to agree to a no point offense. Client is happy as only fine is paid.

In California, if you fight the ticket in court, both officers, the one who clocked you and the one who wrote the ticket, have to show up in court for your case or else your ticket is dismissed. This doubles your chances that the ticket is dismissed because one of them didn't show up in court. If Nevada has the same legal provision you might seriously consider fighting the ticket in court.
Im here in CA and I have a reputable source that many of the CHP love these tickets because they cant go to them on duty so they schedule off duty days and they get 2x-3x their hourly wage....
I am a Nevada attorney- I can take care of that ticket for you - reduce it to non-moving violation. Contact me - shpirt@lbbslaw.com
