Do all aftermarket headers sound the same?
Do all aftermarket headers sound the same?
I'm thinking of change headers to my C2s.
I got a FVD bronbacher center muffler with valves.
I hesitating if I should get headers from the same brand or another set of Fabspeed which I can get in a lower price.
Any recommendation what to do? Is it worth to get the same brand or I can get same results with a less expensive brand?
Thanks for your advice guys.

I like to think of an exhaust as a packaged deal (sound and performance). With that said, I added the fabspeed 200 cell cats and the Fabspeed long tube headers to my PSE and it sounds great!
Cel happened because of headers right? Not center muffler.
Not because of headers but sport cats that were not supposed to set off a CEL, but no help from them, was a real PIA. O2 sensor, multiple calls, NOTHING.

What happens when you want to set in quiet position with your PSE, does it stills allow low sound even with headers?
OP, I'd also like to know the answer to this question. I hope I'm not hijacking the thread, but here's an interesting question I've been looking into as well. This may clear up some questions regarding the changes to the exhaust note.
I'm considering either an x-pipe that works with PSE, or a set of Fabspeed Sport Headers for my C2S. Fabspeed has a clip of a C2S with their full exhaust system (sport headers, x-pipe, muffler bypass, etc.) and it sounds amazing. It really changes the tone of our exhaust note from a deep burble to a high-pitched sound (a la GT3).
Here's the clip. Note the initial exhaust note in the very beginning. Then, skip to the 1:00 min mark and listen to the exhaust note with their full package:
You can definitely hear the change in the pitch of the sound. It goes from a low, burbly sound to a higher-pitched GT3-like note.
That's exactly what I'm looking for, but I can't figure out if a set of Fabspeed headers will give me that high-pitched note (along with my stock PSE mufflers). I totally understand that the sound is dependent on ALL of the parts installed on the car, but I'm just curious as to which part changes the engine note to a higher pitch.
Can you comment on my/our question in my post here? I'm considering the Fabspeed headers, so your car should sound identical to what I'm looking for. Any chance you can shoot a few videos for us?

I have the Fabspeed headers paired with the FVD Brombacher x-pipe, as well as the Sharkwerks side mufflers... sounds awesome.
I've had great experiences with FVD, talked to ***** Brombacher multiple times (I'm German as well), and enjoyed chatting with him. Very high-qulity products.
@akbjr: Give Rhonda a ring at FVD, she'll put you in touch with *****. Did you try O2 sensor spacers? That should get rid of the CEL right away, unless your cats a re damaged.

I've understood that if you replace the side mufflers you are not able to make the car quite if you'd like to.
Actually, Fabspeed has valveronic mufflers that hook into your factor PSE button to allow you to switch from regular and sport sound.
Yes, in my case however, I ditched the side mufflers for the Sharkwerks exhaust, and paired with the FVD x-pipe I basically have no mufflers. Folks can hear me better now = safer for everybody.
