I am wrong or does it seem that the major issues with the drivetrain in the 991 appears to be far more prevalent in the 7-speed cars? I also am referring to the problems of engines just quitting from the cam sensor issue that iirc only afflicts the manuals.

Not in my case. PDK and two transmission transplants already. Each one a different issue. I'm chalking it up to bad luck.

I'm fine, I didn't ask for a loaner. Actually am driving my other favorite car - a 1993 E36 325i with 128,000 miles.

Definitely missing Bessy though

Porsche is good about replacing engines. They did it for my '06 CS cab @30,000 miles. It was blowing a ton of blue smoke at start up. The dealer did a video of the pistons, sent it to head office and the next thing you know -- new engine was ready to be installed. Trick is, they have a computer in the engine to tell them if the car was redlined a lot, or at all so they could nix the warranty if it was redlined alot.
