Directional Front, Asymmetric Rear, bad idea?

Hi, I 've got a quick question on snow tires.

The recommended tire size for 2013 991 C2 is 235/40/19 front and 285/35/19 rear.

The Michelin PA4 does have the 235/40 with N0 marking and is Directional tread. Surprisingly the PA4 does not have the 285/35 in Directional not with asymmetric tread design (with no N marking). Would it really bad to install DIR front and Asymmetric rear?

Otherwise I can go with Settozeo series II but reviews suggest they are not as good as Michelin PA4.

Thank you very much for your help in advance.

Yes. Different tire patterns are not tested together, and may result in different grip in different situations. Tire manufacturers highly recommend against mixing tread patterns (even on similar tires).

And last thing you EVER want in a 911 is the chance that the rear tires might experience a slightly lower level of grip than the fronts....

You have a major staggered setup.
Talk about different grip front and rear between directional and asymetric alone seems trivial.

Did you call Michelin?
They have tire advisors who can answer these questions.

You could run the 245-40-19 and be asymetrical all around.

I opted for conti winter contacts TS830P in those exact sizes and they are n0 rated. Put them on a week ago and very happy with them. They are also Cheaper than the sotto zeros and get better reviews too.
