My driver's side mirror looks like it has finger smudges on it which causes distortion of the images, particularly at night when lights are shining on it. I first thought it was finger prints, but I tried cleaning the mirror several times and the distortion is still there.

 

I've noticed a sort of bevel around the mirror edges that is slightly different in tint. I don't think I ever felt it was like a smudge on the mirror.
