That was a wonderful review. The attention to detail and evaluation follow up reveal a fantastic effort placed into the enjoyment of this car . What I also find interesting is how it seems to be evolving in the direction of your next car (possibly a Turbo S ) .

In my opinion that's what a repeat 911 aficianado does . You have gone one step futher with these impressive videos . You have taken the time to give us this visual presentation of your experience . It's been awesome !!

Thank you !!

Nice review Nick! Fortunately for me I ran into the gray dials on a test drive and when I talked to the salesman he deleted them. The only option I regret not getting was PSE and I have talked about getting it put on, but it's $5,000 to put it on now so I keep postponing it. It would be less expensive to put on an after market, but I want to be able to turn it off.

Nmurray22, it think your starting issues might be related to a switch that is right behind clutch pedal. As that fails, the car may require a few tries to start. The replacement is very quick. This happened to me on my previous Porsche.

Thanks for the review!

Excellent review...you're really using it!! . Agreed with everything you said...for me though the grey/ silver rev counter really works to go with the belts, 18way seat backs and the ext GT silver color...I looked at it prior to finalizing mine. Worried about the heat valve t
...let's see when's my turn to get it replaced

OP. Solid video -- thank you.

Not starting the first time?? That should merit a serious look by the dealer.

I have a metal sunroof that does not rattle even in the freezing cold. My 997 Targa had serious roof rattles -- If you search the 997 forum for McLube Sailkoat you will find a very good and effective product.

That whistle though is different problem. From the video, sounds to me like it's not an airtight seal and just needs to be adjusted. There is a slight whistle from the side mirrors (can only be heard with no radio and low engine note) but yours seems beyond that.

My heater valve went bad last month. Quick fix at dealer. I was told Porsche considers it a "safety" part so overnights it to the dealer.

What are the lighted after-market devices at the top of the windscreen?
In the top left there is the Escort 9500ci screen (I put it there as it catches my eye if it detects anything) and on the right there I have a DR5000GW-HD dash cam. I also have one of these on the rear as well.

I got that whistle the other day also. I haven't taken it in because it's intermittent and it certainly isn't going to happen when I take it in. I'll be very interested to hear what the problem turns out to be.

I will let you know as soon I they sort it. I am pretty sure it is to do with air venting not a problem with the sun roof. However I have been wrong before… there was that one time in '89

Great video. Why no flappy paddle steering wheel? Most people hate the buttons.

Great video! I just picked mine up about a month ago and adjusting to the PDK. I noticed at your 10:02 mark, you were able to cruise at 60 mph in "D" mode / 7th gear, then suddenly drop to 2nd gear without switching over to manual mode. This is my first "auto" transmission and am curious to know how that was done. I'll be ready for it after breaking the car in haha. Thanks!

Hi Kobett, Yes that is what I love about the dual clutch units, it will find the best gear instantly, (it would take a lot longer in manual mode) all you need to do is press your foot to the floor..

How long are you running it in for? I notice there is no need for run in if you pick up Germany, only if you pick up in the US? So my run in period lasted about 50 feet

Nick
