Bumper Grilles

Good morning,

I remember seeing a while ago a couple of grilles to cover the leaves receptacles on the 991. Does anybody know if there is anything new around? I really would like to put something to cover them, but I can't find anything attractive

Thank you

Look at the DIY tab up top as SM ATL came up with something cheap or you can go the more expensive route with the rennline ones, but you will need to take the front bumper off the install them.

I tried to contact Rennline. Sent several emails, never returned. Call them a couple times, never answered. I had Qs since I have the third radiator and parking sensors. They didn't have that option on their site.
I am avoiding them currently.

Rennline do have the version for the cars with 3rd radiator and parking sensors. Mine are being installed Monday. I found them very good at answering questions/returning emails.

I had the exact same experience. TWICE in two years. Resulted in two no-sales. If they don't want my money....

IMO save your money and get the black screen/mesh like that of the DIY. Most of the expense of this mod is in removal of the front facia...you can cut to size and mount the screen in minutes once it's off.

Has anyone removed their own front bumper cover? Would be interested in DIY instructions.

I'd be interested in the bumper-removal instructions as well. I pulled the front bumper off my 2008 Cayman to replace an A/C condenser that got punctured by a rock. I installed the mesh guards and when I put it back on, and also installed the GT3 'smile' vent. Was thinking about doing the same to my 2013 SportDesign nose as well.

I had my wire meshes installed yesterday by my Indie Porsche shop. Took them 2 hours including re and re the bumper. I have the 5 piece kit as I have Sport Design front and X51 so have third radiator (parking sensors also). The shop owner advised me the kit was very well designed and built (better than most he's seen) and all parts were of very good quality.

Excellent to hear. I may be inclined to give Rennline another chance.

Thanks for the review.

Unfortunately I'm off on a Mexican cruise shortly and won't have time to do any pictures for a few weeks at least.

I have been communicating with a possible supplier, racemeshgrills.com. they seem to have a quality product and are willing to pre-fab their product around the OEM Porsche parts.

Will probably order from them as it get closer to spring here in Wisconsin and plan to have other projects done that will require removal of the front bumper cap.
